Salary:                                                   £35-£40,000 per annum

Role overview

This role sits within the Commercial and Community division in the Marine Cargo and Freight Liability team based in London. The role’s main concentration is Marine Cargo, Stock Throughput and Freight Liability with some Hull and Marine Liability business. The successful candidate will have experience in Marine Cargo and or Freight Liability Insurance who is familiar with interacting with clients at all levels up to and including board level in a friendly manner. Client service is at the heart of what we do therefor exceptional service level and the ability to develop relationships with surveyors, suppliers, insurers, repairers and such are key to success. Training is provided.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Manage existing clients requirements on a day to day basis
  • Mid Term Adjustments/Invoicing
  • Preparation of Renewal documents for designated portfolio
  • Liaise with and advise clients on claims through to settlement
  • Assist Account Executives with broking and placement of new and existing risks
  • Liaise with insurers on quotes, renewals, negotiations of premiums
  • Acting as Account Executive on smaller cases, managing relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Liaise with colleagues on issues arising from claims which may affect insurance covers/premiums
  • Refer any claims which may be subject to repudiation as per Binder Insurers instructions and agreements and notify Account Execs/ Managers and Head of Office
  • Visiting clients, insurers and other entities as is deemed necessary to fulfil the job role
  • Inputting all client and claim data accurately into Acturis
  • Following Acturis procedures guide.
  • Any other reasonable duties as directed

Key Competencies/qualifications

  • Exceptional client service and communication skills
  • Be conversant and compliant with all Stackhouse Poland Insurance procedural requirements and internal control standards, compliance training will be provided
  • Ensure that regulatory requirements are adhered to in an efficient manner
  • Champion the values of professionalism, flexibility, teamwork and care and represent the business both
  • Proficient in MS Office Word Excel Outlook
  • Work well under pressure
  • Be able to prioritise well with excellent organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Qualified to Cert CII level or working towards
  • An enthusiastic, hardworking and conscientious attitude with a willingness to learn a desire to succeed and a sense of fun
