New Business Broker, MPI Group London (Position Filled)

Position: Renewals/New Business Broker – Medical Professional Indemnity Group

The Medical Professional Indemnity Group is a trading style of Stackhouse Poland.

Reports To: MPI Group Broking Lead

Position Summary

Renewals/New Business Brokers are responsible for working together to process and renew all scheme renewals on a monthly basis, together with assisting with the broking responsibilities for all New Business cases. The post holder must be proactive and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. He/She must understand all aspects of the scheme benefits, the insurance product and renewal/new business process. They will be required to answer questions on the process and the services provided through the scheme. This post holder will report to the Head of Medical Malpractice.  Full training will be given.

Responsibilities

  • Track renewals by month/scheme
  • Track any new prospects by month/scheme
  • Produce documents and emails for:
    • Renewal Invites
    • Renewal & New Business Quotation Packages
    • All Policy Documentation
  • Chase return of documentation by phone, email, text message
  • Communicate with members, assisting with completion of documentation and dealing with queries
  • Delegated Underwriting Authority – completion of Underwriting Checklist
  • Liaise with Underwriters regarding any queries
  • Check and Send renewal quotes to members
  • Chase return of acceptances for renewals
  • Liaise with previous indemnity providers to obtain updated claims histories
  • Confirm with Medico-Legal Team regarding all helpline calls
  • Sending Invoices and confirmation of cover to members
  • Deal with Mid-Term Adjustments to member’s policies
  • Pre-filling Lloyd’s Bordereaux with Risk Information and submitting to Underwriters
  • Creating and renewing Loans through Close Brothers Premium Finance
  • Producing reports from operating systems
  • Updating chosen operating system with all relevant information required (Acturis)
  • Providing admin support to New Business and Renewals Teams
  • Chasing outstanding premium payments and extending any Premium Payment Warranties
  • Other duties as required

Skills/ Experience

Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure

 

Fast learner

Familiar with relevant software applications including MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel and database management

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage with clients

 

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work

Ability to work as part of a team
