Christmas fundraising for The Tom Bowdidge Foundation
Our staff recently held a Christmas event to raise funds for The Tom Bowdidge Foundation, a charity that supports teenagers and young people with cancer. Employees celebrated the festive season by wearing their Christmas jumpers, and donating to the charity.
The ‘Christmas jumper day’ was organised by the Stackhouse Poland charity committee, which is comprised of staff from across our UK network of offices. The committee meets regularly to arrange events to raise funds for both local and national charities.
The Tom Bowdidge foundation was founded in memory of Tom Bowdidge. Tom died of a desmoplastic small round cell tumour and peritoneal disease in October 2013, aged 19. Tom’s parents, Nikki and Richard Bowdidge, launched the foundation on the 28 February 2014 – the date that would have been Tom’s twentieth birthday. The Foundation focuses on projects that provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support, to help teenagers and young people cope with their cancer diagnosis.
